About us

We are a psychotherapeutic practice specializing in neurodivergence. Our team consists of licensed cognitive behavioral therapists, psychologists, and psychotherapists in training. We offer professional diagnostics and psychotherapeutic support for neurodivergent individuals, as well as for anyone else who may be eligible for psychotherapy. We also provide supervision, peer intervision, and continuing education based on the latest international and clinical standards in neurodivergence. We are a research practice and collaborate with scientific institutions, such as the University of Regensburg, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

My name is Maria Etlender, and I am a psychologist and licensed psychological psychotherapist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy. My particular interests include neurodivergence, autism, and ADHD, as well as the combined presentation of autism and ADHD (AuDHS), alexithymia, and aphantasia.

I thoroughly enjoy working with autistic individuals and am also interested in research on the topic. I regularly attend scientific conferences, participate in the latest international training courses, am a member of the International Society for Autism Research ( INSAR ), APS , VLSP, ASAN , and Aspies e.V. , conduct research in the field of autistic emotion perception and processing, and am undertaking further training in autism diagnostics at the University of Western Australia in Perth.

In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I frequently lecture at training institutes, universities, and clinics, and I serve on the board of ARIA (Alexithymia Research International Alliance). My goal is to sustainably improve the care of neurodivergent individuals through scientifically sound, neuro- and queer-affirmative, and evidence-based diagnostics and psychotherapy.
